When the US women’s gymnastics team won the gold medal in the team final Tuesday in London, we found ourselves wondering: what happened to the Magnificent Seven from the 1996 games?

Good news! The folk at Buzzfeed have put together an awesome “Where are they now?” tribute to Shannon Miller, Dominique Moceanu, Dominique Dawes, Kerri Strug, Amy Chow, Amanda Borden, and Jaycie Phelps.

A few things we learned:

  • Boston College Law School graduate Shannon Miller was diagnosed with a form of ovarian cancer in January 2011. The 35-year-old mother of one lives in Jacksonville, Florida.

  • Amanda Borden, also a mom, runs Gold Medal Gymnastics in Arizona.

  • Mother-of-two Dominique Moceanu has published four children’s books.

According to USA Gymnastics, NBC is airing a special on the Magnificent 7 at 8 p.m. Friday.
