One of the top American snowboarders, Lago is from Seabrook, N.H.
Lago, 22, picked up a snowboard when he was 9 in Amesbury, Mass. and started competing in 2001. In 2006, he won a World Cup halfpipe competition and has elevated to one of the top competitors in the last four years. Lago qualified for his first Olympics with a big run at the recent U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix that led to a second-place finish behind Shaun White.
Lago is part of the "Frends Crew," (sic) consisting of snowboarders such as Mason Aguirre, Kevin Pearce, Danny Davis, Keir Dillon, Jack Mitrani, and Luke Mitrani.
