The Celtics didn't get to contribute to this historic run until Game 10 of The Streak, beating the Washington Wizards in their sellout season opener. The new Big Three all came out of the gate strong: Paul Pierce scored a game-high 28 points, Kevin Garnett scored 22 points and grabbed 20 rebounds, and Ray Allen scored 17. A nervous Garnett shot a hard brick off the glass in his first field goal attempt, and scored the Celtics' first points, two free throws, with 10:13 left in the first.
