Marco SturmThe 1996 first-round draft pick of the San Jose Sharks will forever be linked to defenseman Joe Thornton, the player the Bruins dealt to the Sharks in exchange for Sturm, Brad Stuart, and Wayne Primeau in November 2005. The left winger had his best season in Boston in 2007-08 when he scored 27 goals and had 29 assists. But he never reached Thornton numbers in the scoring department. In 2007, the Bruins signed Sturm to a four-year, $14 million contract extension. Sturm had knee surgery following the 2009-10 season before being traded to the LA Kings for a conditional draft pick. Sturm also suffered a knee injury in 2008-09 and played in only 19 games that season.
