June 25: Bruins draft F Tyler Seguin with the second overall pick in the NHL draft
It was a nice sidebar to the Bruins' 2009-10 season: Which Canadian junior league star should they pick with the 2010 first-round choice they heisted from Toronto in the Phil Kessel trade? Sniper Taylor Hall or playmaker Tyler Seguin. In the end, the choice was made for them. The Oilers won the draft lottery and took Hall, leaving Seguin for the Bruins with the No. 2 pick. He looks like a future cornerstone; the 18-year-old has five goals so far in his rookie season.
