Golf Grand Slam No golfer has completed the modern Grand Slam of winning the Masters, US Open, British Open and PGA Championship in the same calendar year. Golf legend Bobby Jones (left) defeated Gene Homans, right, 8 and 7 in the 1930 US Amateur to complete the then-Grand Slam, which also consisted of the British Amateur, the British Open, and the US Open. Tiger Woods held all four major titles at the same time after winning the Masters in 2001, but had won the other three majors in 2000. Several players have completed a 'career' grand slam.
