9: Robert Kraft helps settle NFL labor dispute
New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft was embraced by Indianapolis Colts center Jeff Saturday at a memorable news conference on July 25 to announce that owners and players had reached a deal to end the 135-day lockout. In a touching moment, Saturday acknowledged Kraft's key role in a 10-year deal while dealing with the declining health and death of his wife, Myra, only days before the end of the dispute.
A special thanks to Myra Kraft, who even in her weakest moment allowed Mr. Kraft to come and fight this out and without him, this deal does not get done, Saturday said.
