MESSAGE BOARD
Ted Williams, 1918-2002

The family of Ted Williams is feuding over what should be done with the slugger's remains. His son wants to deep-freeze Williams's corpse for future revival or cloning. But according to his daughter, the Red Sox Hall of Famer wanted to be cremated. What do you think?

Tar & Feather John Henry Grant Ted's wish to be spread over the Keys.....

Dick Stagnone, Holbrook

John Henry is an odious vile loathsome scumbag, we have known that for years. But Ted had 2 more sane and more normal daughters and if he trusted them and not had his he-man "only a man can do the job" mentality, he could have had his daughters take care of him in his declining years and avoided all the manipulative crap that sonny boy has pulled. It's a shame he trusted such a greedy evil child.

john-henry williams should have gotten his ass kicked after he had his father wear the .COM hat instead of a Red Sox cap. then maybe we would not be in this mess.

kristopher yetman, duxbury

Ted's memory deserves better than his money grubbing monster of a son who has lived off his father for all his adult life. If it was Ted's wish that his ashes be scattered over the Florida keys so be it. Ted's wishes for the disposition of his remains should be honored whatever they were.

Lawrence D. Anzivino, Lenox, MA

anybody who has heard of Ted Williams' son knows that he is a parasite and a nutjob. cremate him, bury him. whatever his will says. absolutely ridiculous

Joe, Boston

Doesn't really matter. The guy is dead anyway. That is unless there is some kind of religious belief. Obviously it is a highly charged emotional issue. It's between them and no one else. As for me, freeze dried and propped up on the couch.

Peter, Boston

They should cremate Ted, and deep freeze his monster, poor excuse for a son.

They might as well put Ted Williams on first base, that way you KNOW the ball wont go through his legs !!!!

ROO, Concord, MA

I think that it's a shame. A baseball hero like Ted Williams should have a proper burial and a memorial service. To be frozen so that his lunatic son can perhaps profit from his DNA in the future is pathetic. I think John Henry Williams is going to find out what Rick Petino and Bill Buckner already know, what it's like to be disliked by Boston sports fans. What a chump

Mateo, Woburn

Who does that kid think he is the only living relative of Ted Williams. If I remember correctly he has a first born sister who is 25 years older than him as well as Will. The will itself should take precedence over anything that winny scum wants. All he wants to do is make money off his dead father. Sure he may have taken care of him but he also benefited from it and took advantage of his own father and if he had nothing to hide why didn't he let Ted's friends come and visit or at least talk to him. If John Henry was a stand up guy he would have given an explanation to Ted's friends why they couldn't see him, instead of ignorning their phone calls. John Henry is a scum of son and brother and I hope the whole country turns on him. He deserves whatever he gets.

Maureen, Stoughton
