Ted Williams, 1918-2002
The family of Ted Williams is feuding over what should be done with the slugger's remains. His son wants to deep-freeze Williams's corpse for future revival or cloning. But according to his daughter, the Red Sox Hall of Famer wanted to be cremated. What do you think?

I just think it's another way for John Henry Williams to make money off his father and it's a shame. If his will said to have him cremated than his final wish should be carried out.
Peter , Ipswich, Ma
Ted should be cremated as he wished in his will. It was his last testament. His son's behavior in the past indicates he is on a money-making scheme rather than to honor his father.
Barbara Broussard, Cambridge
I would have hoped that in Mr. Williams passing, he would have received a more profound sense of respect. I think that this feud is disgraceful and reflects quite poorly on his son's personal motivations after his father's passing.
Vanessa Champigny, Peabody, MA
give the man a decent human burial service that he deserves, just like I would want.

JH Williams is a pimp. Plain and simple. He is a desparate man. Now that his father is gone, he knows that every door he goes to knock on will be slammed in his face. If Ted's will says that he wants to be creamated, then that is the right thing to do. JH shouldn't hold on to his father's legend for his own selfish reason. No child has a right to do that to a parent!
Stacy, Boston
We should freeze John Henry Williams now and then cremate Ted Williams.
Len, Quincy
Whatever his will says or his family decides should go. The fans and media should stay out of it.
Steve, Boston
I believe that he requested that his ashes be spread over the Florida Keys and I believe whatever he was coerced to sign afterwards should be disallowed by the judge. Rest in peace Ted, and thanks for the memories.
Mike Brouillette, Bedford, NH
I think they should save him for cloning. How sweet would it be to have Teddy Ballgame back at the plate in 2015!
Pat Lantry, Brookline
Although Ted was an athiest, he should be given proper funeral; and, burial ceremony to celebrate his life of achievement. I pray our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ might have compassion on Ted; because, he brought so much joy to so many. Since Ted was not a believer, only our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ can be the judge now. Ted, why were you such a stubborn man? John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
