MESSAGE BOARD
Ted Williams, 1918-2002

The family of Ted Williams is feuding over what should be done with the slugger's remains. His son wants to deep-freeze Williams's corpse for future revival or cloning. But according to his daughter, the Red Sox Hall of Famer wanted to be cremated. What do you think?

It does not say in his will how he wants to be lain to rest? This is a lesson for everyone to include this information. This son is being ridiculous!

Amy, Whitman, MA

Keep him frozen.

Frank, Somerville

Build a huge glass freezer and mount him in the Green Monster - Hey look out for the fly ball Ted!

BARCO

Williams is an over-rated, over-hyped icon. His remains should be frozen and then fed as popsicles to cannibals within the next 5 years.

MattS, San Fran

It's up to Ted's wishes/will. John Henry sounds like a very troubled human being who needs serious help. I hope the courts rule in favor of Ted's wishes and do the right thing.

Louis, Bedford, NH

If you ask me, they got the wrong Williams in the tank. Time for John Henry to "chill out" and for Teddy Ballgame to have his final wish to be granted as stated in his will!

CB, Malden

They should freeze John Henry.

Ken, Beverly

I think it is a family issue. The Globe, Boston.com and anyone other than the family should keep their noses out of it. Let the family alone to do what a family does. Shame on you.

I can't believe a son would do this. He had such a great father who did so much good for so many. Why should he not have his last request granted? His son is a money grabbing-greedy-individual who would exploit the memory of his own father. It's not right and it's more than just disgusting.

HOLLY, DEDHAM

I THINK IF HE DIDN'T HAVE A WILL THAT HE SHOULD BE CREMATED OR BURIED I DO NOT THINK HE SHOULD BE FROZEN UNLESS HE STATED HE WANTED TO BE SO. IT IS WRONG.

CARISSA, WARE
