MESSAGE BOARD
Ted Williams, 1918-2002

The family of Ted Williams is feuding over what should be done with the slugger's remains. His son wants to deep-freeze Williams's corpse for future revival or cloning. But according to his daughter, the Red Sox Hall of Famer wanted to be cremated. What do you think?

The family shoudl respect hsi wiches. His son has repeatly over the years tried to profit from his fathers fame. This is just another sad case of John Henry trying to make a fast buck off this father somewhere down the road. Let the man rest in peace.

His remains should be properly buried or creamated. Then have a public stoning or bamboo stick beating of John Henry Williams.

Jack, boston

Who cares - this doesn't affect any of us one little bit. Let them fight it out and whatever happens, happens. Won't change my life or yours. It's the Williams' family business and no one elses.

Dina, Boston

It's none of our business. Bostonians would love to make it our business, but it's not. End of story.

I think on July 22nd at the Red Sox tribute to Ted, they should have John Henry stand at home plate and everyone who walks by him gets to punch him in the face once.

Matt Ostler, Chelsea MA

Ted's son should be bitch slapped.

He should be cremated and his ashes spread over the outfield at Fenway. That is where he belongs forever - not in a freezer in Arizona.

Dave, Boston

Has John-Henry heard of "honor thy father?" He's a pig. Honor his last wishes and cremate him. Let the man rest in peace once and for all.

CR, boston

This is embarassing.

James Scola, Barrington, RI

I think what John Henry is doing is disgraceful. I mean, didn't Ted Williams have a will? I think that Mr. Williams should be creamated, which was supposedly his last wish. I think that Ted would be horrified by the actions of his son.

K, Watertown
