Ted Williams, 1918-2002
The family of Ted Williams is feuding over what should be done with the slugger's remains. His son wants to deep-freeze Williams's corpse for future revival or cloning. But according to his daughter, the Red Sox Hall of Famer wanted to be cremated. What do you think?

The last few years of his life were difficult at best. As his caretaker, his so-called loving son should understand that best. Ted has earned the right to have his wishes respected and the honor to rest in peace.

The Good Book says "do unto others..." - and "let he who is without sin cast the first stone..." Let the family decide what is best for the family, and the rest of you mind your own beeswax.

John Henry Williams is out of his mind. This is another example of his exploiting his father, trying to secure a financial future for himself. John Henry is a loser evidenced by his string of failed business ventures. John Henry should be taken away in a straight jacket and put someplace where he can't harm anyone with his crazy ideas. Whatever happened to his father's wishes to be cremated and spread over the Florida Keys.

I don't believe that it is any of our business. I don't agree with his son but that is not my business. The courts will take care of it.

I think he should be cremated. That was his wish all along. His son should be ashamed of himself for not following his father's last wishes.

You could just freeze him for now and then cremate later if need be. You can't go back once you cremate.

Only Red Sox Nation would make this into an issue. In FLA, NY, etc. (e.g., "real" states) this would be a non-issue. Get real, Puritans!
Red Seat, Miami Beach
He should be stuffed and placed in the red seat in the bleachers. kids could have their picture taken with him with the proceeds split between the jimmy fund and the "Get John Henry Williams a Life" fund. It would have to be tastefully done of course.

Honor his wishes, if it's spelled out in his will that he wanted to be cremated, honor his wishes.
