Joey Glynn, a Globe All-Scholastic from Cardinal Spellman, died Monday night while playing basketball in Watertown, the Boston Herald reported. He was 19.
Glynn just finished his freshman season at Bentley. He played in 26 games and averaged 3.3 points and 3.2 rebounds.
Glynn was a two-time All-Scholastic in basketball. He also played football, and as a junior had the distinction of playing at Gillette Stadium and TD Garden, scoring Spellman’s only touchdown in a 21-7 loss to Holliston in the Super Bowl.
