Joey Glynn, a two-time Globe All-Scholastic from Cardinal Spellman High School, died Monday night after he collapsed playing basketball in a Watertown men’s league game at Saltonstall Park, the Boston Herald reported. He was 19.

Glynn just finished his freshman season at Bentley. He played in 26 games and averaged 3.3 points and 3.2 rebounds.

Glynn also played football, and as a junior had the distinction of playing at Gillette Stadium and TD Garden, scoring Spellman’s only touchdown in a 21-7 loss to Holliston in the Super Bowl. In Glynn’s senior year he led Spellman back to the Super Bowl, where the Cardinals lost to Mashpee.
