For the Beverly athletic program, 2012-13 was one of the more successful years in school history. The Panthers had long playoff runs from more than a few teams and brought home a Division 2A Super Bowl title in football. All of these efforts led to Beverly hoisting the Globe’s Division 2 Ames Award for best overall athletic record in its division.

The award was one of 10 the Globe handed out in the 41st year of its Scholastic Awards. The awards rank schools based on their win-loss percentage for regular-season play. Games scores are compiled and updated daily during the season. Complete results are on Boston.com/schools.
