Super Bowl victories were team efforts for St. John’s Shrewsbury, Blackstone Valley Tech

Their seasons kicked off with double sessions in the late summer sun and concluded with winter emphatically announcing its arrival last weekend. Four area teams were unbeaten until the final day of the season, when their dreams of perfection were dashed. But two other squads emerged as postseason champions. Recap of five Saturday high school football games

Connor Ressel and Gloucester sailed in the snow at Gillette. Ryan Wolcott and Reading were unstoppable, too, while Austin Prep derailed a perfect run by Holliston.
