Players of the Year

Division 1
Kim Cunniff, Walpole
Cunniff led the Bay State League in
scoring and earned league all-star
honors. She was selected to play in
the Best of 60 game. She was a member
of two state championship teams
at Walpole and will play field hockey
at Quinnipiac next fall.

Division 2
Lauren Gonsalves, Harwich
This talented senior scored 56 goals
to bring her career total to 149, a
state record. She is a four-time South
Shore League All-Star, a two-time
All-Scholastic, and also plays basketball
and softball. She will attend
Merrimack next fall.
Coaches of the Year

Division 1
Mae Shoemaker, Acton-Boxboro
In her fifth season as coach, Shoemaker
led her team to its first state
title since 2000. She has compiled a
record of 86-15-8 in 12 seasons. She
is also a dedicated marathon runner,
competing in 18 straight Boston
Marathons.

Division 2
Mamie Reardon, Lynnfield
In her 25th year coaching, Reardon
led her team to a 17-5 record, earning
Cape Ann League Coach of the Year
honors for the fourth time. A threesport
athlete at Melrose, she was
inducted into the Melrose Athletic
Hall of Fame in 1995.
All-Scholastics

Forward/Midfield
McKenna Teague, Notre Dame of Hingham
A senior cocaptain, she led her team
to a 20-1-1 season and a berth in the
Division South final. During the 2005
season, she broke the schools scoring
record with 24 goals. Also a talented
lacrosse player, she scored 67 goals
last spring.

Forward
Taylor Callahan, Marblehead
The Northeastern Conference Player
of the Year, and two-time NEC All-
Star, also played in the Best of 60
game. As a captain and team MVP,
she led her team to its first conference
championship in 21 years. She
will play field hockey at Fairfield.

Midfield
Courtney Tavener, Winchester
The four-time Middlesex League
All-Star was the leagues MVP this
season as she scored 23 goals. She
broke the schools scoring record and
has 55 career goals. Also a captain of
the lacrosse team, she plans to attend
Boston College next fall.

Center Midfield
Jen Abrams, Reading
The senior captain scored 22 goals
this season, earning league All-Star
honors. She also played in the Best of
60 game. A three-sport athlete, she is
a captain of the ice hockey and softball
teams as well. She will play softball
at Providence next fall.

Midfield/Forward
Hilary Burns, Falmouth
A senior, Burns was the leading
scorer in the Atlantic Coast League
and was selected an ACL All-Star
after collecting 11 goals and 13 assists.
Burns also swims and is on the
track team. She plans to attend Fairfield
next fall.

Midfield
Catherine O'Brien, Canton
The senior was a Hockomock All-Star
and the fourth-leading scorer in the
league with 11 goals and 12 assists.
She led her team to the state final and
was selected to play in the Best of 60
game. Next fall, she will play field
hockey at Boston College.

Right wing
Lynne Donoghue, Barnstable
The senior totaled 19 goals and nine
assists for a career tally of 50 goals
and 18 assists. She was an Old Colony
League All-Star, the leagues leading
scorer, as well as team captain. She
was also a member of the 2007 state
ice hockey championship team.

Right Attack
Elizabeth Levasseur, New Bedford
The senior contributed 15 goals and a
team-leading eight assists this season
to bring her career totals to 32 goals
and 16 assists. As a captain, she led
her team to an undefeated regular
season. She also is a captain of the
lacrosse team.

Forward
Giselle Schlegel, Acton-Boxboro
As a senior, she was the teams leading
scorer, collecting 27 goals and
assisting on nine. She earned Dual
County League All-Star honors in
addition to playing in the Best of 60
game. She will play field hockey at
Syracuse next fall.

Defense
Molly Ravis, Acton-Boxboro
This senior was the anchor of a defense
that held opposing teams to
eight goals during the regular season.
She earned Dual County League
All-Star honors and played in the
Best of 60 game. She also plays on the
lacrosse team.

Center Midfield
Nicole Panciocco, Walpole
This senior captain was a Bay State
League All-Star and was selected to
play in the Best of 60 game. She was a
member of Walpole teams that won
state championships in 2004 and
2006. She will play field hockey at
UMass next fall.

Center Midfield
Katelyn Tighe, Oliver Ames
The Hockomock League scoring
champion and MVP, Tighe notched
15 goals and eight assists. She was
selected to play on the Best of 60
team. She is also a senior captain of
the basketball team, which won the
2006 state championship.

Goalie
Lindsey Farrell, Needham
The senior allowed only seven goals
in 16 games. She was selected as the
Goalie of the Year for the Bay State
League and a league All-Star. Farrell
was the Carey Division MVP as well.
In addition to field hockey, she plays
lacrosse.

Center Midfield
Kathie Andrusin, North Andover
A senior captain, she was selected the
Cape Ann Player of the Year and
played in the Best of 60 game. Her
team won the Cape Ann championship
for the third consecutive year.
She is also an accomplished gymnast
and pole vaulter.

Left Wing
Molly Foye, Manchester Essex
The senior captain scored 22 goals, a
school record. She earned Cape Ann
League Player of the Year honors and
was selected to the Best of 60 team.
As the teams MVP, she led Manchester
Essex in scoring for the third
consecutive year.
