Runners of the Year

Division 1

Kirsten Kasper, North Andover

Kasper finished her senior year capturing her third All-State championship and EMass Division 2 state title. She was also named the Cape Ann League Runner of the Year and will attempt to defend a state title in swimming this winter.
Division 2

Jenna Davidner, Oliver Ames

Davidner went undefeated in the Hockomock League for the second straight year. The junior also won the Division 3 EMass title with a time of 18 minutes 32 seconds and was the runner-up in the Division 2 All-State meet (18:24.9).

Coaches of the Year

Division 1

Michael Maguire, Haverhill

For the fifth time, Maguire was named the Merrimack Valley Coach of the Year. He led Haverhill to a fourth straight MVC championship and Bay State and Catholic Memorial Invitational titles this year. He has a 143-23-1 record over 17 years.
Division 2

Rick Dellechiaie, North Andover

DelleChiaie led the Scarlet Knights to the Division 2 EMass championship and a Cape Ann League title. He was also named the Cape Ann Coach of the Year. His boys’ squad went undefeated (12-0) and the girls were 11-1 in dual meets.

Bridget Dahlberg, Newton South

Dahlberg, a three-time All-State mile champion, won the Amherst Invitational in 18 minutes 13 seconds. She also placed third in the Division 1 state meet (18 minutes 38 seconds) and the Catholic Memorial Invitational (18:56.7).
Senior

Ellie Hylton, Lincoln-Sudbury

A runner-up at the Dual County League championship meet, Hylton placed fourth at the Brown Invitational (17.56.4) and fifth at the Division 1 EMass meet (18:45). Hylton is an honor roll student and sings in the school chorus.
Senior

Kelsey Karys, Newton South

An All-Scholastic for the fourth time, Karys finished third at the Division 1 EMass meet (18:29) and fourth at the state meet (18:38.6). Karys, the Dual County League champion, is an honor roll student who enjoys horseback riding.
Sophomore

Andrea Keklak, Lincoln-Sudbury

Keklak won the Division 1 EMass race in 18 minutes 20 seconds. She followed up that performance with a second-place finish at the All-State race (18:33.8) and led L-S to an undefeated Dual County League championship season.

Emily Lanois, Hamilton-Wenham

Lanois paced the Generals to their fourth straight EMass Division 4 championship. Her third-place finish in the Division 2 state meet (18:33.6) led H-W to a team title. Lanois also placed second at the Bay State Invitational (18:47.9).

Shauna McNiff, Hingham

The Patriot League champion finished second at the Division 3 EMass race in 18 minutes 57 seconds, and eighth in the Division 2 All-State race (19:23.3). This is McNiff’s second All-Scholastic honor in just her second year running cross-country.

Camille Murphy, Framingham

Murphy capped off her senior season finishing second at the Bay State Invitational (18:58.5) and breaking the course record at Weymouth (2.9 miles, 16:29). Murphy placed ninth at the Division 1 EMass meet and 13th at the Division 1 All-State race.
Junior

Madeleine Reed, Newton South

For the second straight year, Reed finished second at the Division 1 EMass meet, with a time of 18 minutes 20 seconds. She set a personal record with a second-place showing at the Amherst Invitational at Hampshire College in 18:14.
Senior

Ali Simeone, Stoneham

Consistent all season, Simeone finished first in the state coaches’ Division 2 race, third at Catholic Memorial, fourth in the Division 3 EMass meet, and sixth in the Division 2 state meet. She also went undefeated in the Middlesex League.

Julie Solimine, Haverhill

The Merrimack Valley Conference Runner of the Year placed second at the Catholic Memorial race and third at the Bay State Invitational. She set the Haverhill course record and finished eighth overall at the All-State meet (18:57).
