Cross-Country

Tom Finneran, Thayer Academy

The ISL’s MVP was the New England Championship’s runner-up and sealed his third consecutive All-New England selection. A high honors student, he is also on the basketball and track teams. He is undecided about where he will run in college.

Stephanie McCaffrey, BB&N

The sophomore was named the ISL Offensive MVP after scoring 27 goals and adding five assists. Her team finished third in the league and advanced to the NEPSAC quarterfinals. McCaffrey is an honor roll student and also plays basketball.
Field hockey

Brooke Phinney, Middlesex

Phinney, a central midfielder, captained her team this year and was named the ISL Most Valuable Player. She also plays varsity lacrosse for her school. Phinney is an honor roll student and hopes to attend Bowdoin College.
Soccer

Erin Quinlan, Governor's Academy

Quinlan tied a school record this season with her nine shutouts. The senior keeper is a two-time ISL All- Star and a three-time team MVP. She is a member of the National Honor Society and will attend Syracuse University.

Kyle Rosse, Belmont Hill

Rosse had the best goals-against average in the ISL (0.92) and led his team to its second league championship during his career. The senior has also captained the Belmont Hill basketball team for two seasons. He hopes to attend Connecticut College.
Soccer

Charlie Rugg, Rivers

Rugg was the ISL’s leading scorer, netting 22 goals and adding nine assists. The senior captain was named a NSCAA All-American. A forward, Rugg enjoys drawing and painting and will take his game to Boston College.
Cross-Country

Marissa Shoji, Noble and Greenough

Shoji was undefeated during the regular season and managed a second- place finish at the New England championships. Just a sophomore, she holds course records at Noble and Greenough and at Milton Academy.

EIL

Golf

Max Campion, Beaver Country Day

Campion is the rarest of the rare: a four-time All-Scholastic selection. He was unbeaten this season and had the best scoring average in the league. The senior honors student enjoys boating and fishing and will attend Harvard in the fall.
Soccer

Dan Carucci, Lexington Christian

League Most Valuable Player Carucci was the anchor for his team, orchestrating games from his central midfield position. The senior also plays varsity basketball. He enjoys playing golf and would like to study business in college.

Jaimie Cappucci, Pingree

Cappucci led the EIL with 21 goals and seven assists and helped her team win its second consecutive league championship. She was voted the EIL’s Most Valuable Player. Cappucci hopes to attend a NESCAC school and play soccer and softball.
Cross-Country

Olivia Fay, Portsmouth Abbey

The two-time EIL girls’ cross-country champion had another outstanding season for the Rhode Island school. A junior, she is also a two-time NEPSTA champion. Fay is a Dean’s List student and runs the 800, 1,500, and 3,000 in track.

Samuel Fujimori, Bancroft School

Just a freshman, Fujimori has raked in the honors, being named the EIL Runner of the Year and earning an All-New England selection. The 15-year-old was also his team’s MVP. Fujimori also plays lacrosse and wrestles.
Field hockey

Rachel Gerhardt, Bancroft School

Gerhardt set the school’s all-time scoring mark this season and picked her up third consecutive school MVP award. Gerhardt also plays softball and enjoys working out and reading in her spare time. The senior hopes to study biology in college.

NEPSAC

Soccer

Celia Balf, Waring School

Balf was a valuable contributor to Waring last season as an eighthgrader and stepped into a more prominent role during this campaign, scoring 15 goals and earning IGC MVP honors. The freshman enjoys music, art, and traveling.
Volleyball

Briana Brown, King

Brown is just a junior but has emerged as the top player in the Fairchester Athletic Association. Brown, the team captain, led King to the NEPSAC title. Brown is at home on courts, with close to 2,000 career points in basketball.
Soccer

Boitumelo Gugushe, Worcester Academy

Gugushe was a stifling defensive presence for Worcester Academy as a left back and four-year starter. The honor roll student enjoys watching movies and hanging out with friends. Gugushe will play for Boston College next season.
Cross-Country

Tully Hannan, Avon Old Farms

Hannan finished his final season in style, going undefeated and winning the New England Division 1 Championship. Hannan is also an accomplished swimmer and is captain of the Avon team. He is on the Headmaster’s List and honor roll.
Field hockey

Alexandra Kinney, Hotchkiss

Kinney made sure her name would be all over the Hotchkiss record books after breaking four scoring marks this season. During her sterling career, she scored 76 goals and had 36 assists, both records. Kinney will take her talents to Princeton.
Cross-Country

Abby Levene, Phillips Academy

Levene, a senior, was undefeated in dual meets and won the NEPSTA Division 1 Championship, setting a course record at Avon Old Farms in the process. She has been on the honor roll every term at Andover and plans to attend Princeton.
Soccer

Katie McCarthy, Loomis Chaffee

McCarthy, a junior, was named an All-American after leading her team to a 17-1 record and an appearance in the Class A New England prep finals. McCarthy, who also plays basketball and lacrosse, has verbally committed to attend Boston College.
