Coaches of the Year

Divisoin 1
Meredith Patneaude, Taunton
The 10-year coaching veteran led
Taunton to its first tournament berth
in more than 30 years. The Tigers
beat North Quincy in the preliminary
round before getting ousted by
Brookline, ending the season at 16-4.
Patneaude enjoys dancing and golf.

Division 2
Jim Baroody, Dover-Sherborn
Baroody led Dover-Sherborn to a
20-1 record and its first Division 2
South title in at least 20 years. He has
53 straight wins in Tri-Valley League
play over the last three seasons. He
enjoys mountain biking and ultimate
frisbee.
Singles All-Scholastics

Senior
Regis Chang, Old Rochester
Chang, who held the No. 1 singles
spot for four years, finished the regular
season at 15-0, led his team to
the South sectional finals, and advanced
to the finals in the individual
tournament. He will attend Boston
University.

Freshman
Christopher Cua, Wellesley
As the No. 1 singles player, Cua led
Wellesley to the Division 1 South
sectional title and a 22-4 record. He
also made it to the South sectional
individual semifinals. In addition to
tennis, he plays basketball and pingpong.

Senior
Joe Delinks, Falmouth
The boys state champion and threetime
All-Scholastic finished his career
at 72-0 in regular-season matches. He
is ranked No. 6 in New England in
the boys 18-and-under division and
will play on scholarship at the University
of Central Florida.

Sophomore
Cameron Ghorbani, Lexingotn
Ghorbani has already made a name
for himself after posting an 8-0 season
at the No. 1 singles spot. He also
advanced to the North individual
semifinals, where he lost a close
match, 7-5, 7-6. Ghorbani is an honor
roll student.

Sophomore
Bjorn Merinder, Andover
Merinder went undefeated during
the regular season as Andovers No. 1
singles player and was a semifinalist
in the North sectional tournament.
He is ranked 14th in New England in
the boys 16-and-under division, and
enjoys ping-pong.

Senior
Anton Nikolov, Ashland
The three-time Tri-Valley League
Most Valuable Player went 18-0
during the regular season and was a
finalist in the North sectional individual
tournament. He boasts a 96-6
career singles record and will attend
UNC-Wilmington.

Junior
Richie Litterst, Falmouth
After completing his first two doubles
seasons undefeated with two different
partners, Litterst excelled at the
No. 2 singles spot with a 17-1 record.
He is a three-time All-Scholastic and
a member of the National Honor
Society.

Freshman
Alex Steinroeder, Concord-Carlisle
The No. 1 singles player for Concord-
Carlisle finished the regular season at
19-0 and won six more matches
before falling to Falmouths Joe Delinks
in the state individual semifinals.
The Dual County League all-star
also enjoys ping-pong.
Doubles All-Scholastics

Junior
George King, Concord-Carlisle
King, who played No. 2 doubles with
Sam Megowen, finished the season
with a 28-1 record (including the
postseason and individual tournament).
The pair earned Dual County
League all-star honors for the second
straight year.

Senior
Sam Megowen, Concord-Carlisle
Megowen played at No. 2 doubles
alongside George King, winning the
North individual tournament and
helping Concord-Carlisle capture the
North title. A National Honor Society
member, he helped the team to four
consecutive undefeated seasons.

Junior
Nick Petrou, Hamilton-Wenham
Petrou has only three losses in his
high school career. Playing at No. 1
doubles with Ian McCracken, he
went undefeated in the regular season
and advanced to the individual
North sectional final. He enjoys
music and ultimate frisbee.

McCracken, who finished the regular
season undefeated with doubles
partner Nick Petrou, led Hamilton-
Wenham to the Division 2 North
semifinals. McCracken and Petrou
advanced to the North individual
finals.

Daniel Razulis, Newton North
A two-time All-Scholastic and threetime
Bay State Conference all-star,
Razulis and No. 1 doubles partner
David Lath finished the regular
season at 13-0 and reached the finals
of the South sectional individual
tournament.

Lath, a four-year varsity player, finished
the regular season at 13-0 with
No. 1 doubles partner Daniel Razulis.
The pair earned Bay State Conference
all-star honors and advanced to the
finals of the South sectional individual
tournament.

Freshman
Ilya Levin, Wellesley
Playing at No. 1 doubles with Mitchell
Henry, the duo clinched the South
sectional individual championship in
two sets and helped Wellesley to the
South sectional team title. He also
plays basketball and ping-pong, and
enjoys the beach.

Mitchell Henry, Wellesley
Henry and No. 1 doubles partner Ilya
Levin clinched the South sectional
individual crown and helped Wellesley
to a sectional title. Henry enjoys
going to the beach, listening to music,
and spending time with his
friends.
