Bentley
James Tully, Dracut
Tully served as basketball, baseball,
and soccer captain. In soccer he
finished his career with 65 goals and
a school-record 27 assists. He was an
EMass All-Star his last three years
and is a member of the National
Honor Society.

Harvard
Shannon Conway, North Reading
Conway spent her high school career
tearing through the track record
books. This spring she was the state
champion in the 400. She started at
midfielder on the soccer team for two
seasons and also served as treasurer
of the National Honor Society.
District B

Bowdoin
Dominique Lozzi, Reading
Lozzi has accumulated a long list of
accolades during her career, including
three Middlesex League MVP
honors in hockey and 225 career
points. In lacrosse, Lozzi scored her
100th career goal this spring, and she
finished ranked fifth in her class.

Bentley
Daniel Tobin, Woburn
Tobins athletic résumé includes a
spot on the 2008 national champion
4 x 400 relay team, which earned him
All-American status. In lacrosse, he
led Woburn to a school-record eight
wins with 35 points and in soccer he
was a Division 1 EMass all-star.
District C

Harvard
Sarah Campbell, Milton
Campbell was a Bay State Conference
All-Star, team captain, and four-year
varsity starter in soccer, basketball,
and softball. In softball, the shortstop
hit .397 and drove in 20 runs for
Milton, which went 16-6. She was in
the top two percent of her class.

Tufts
James Long, Norwell
During his basketball career, Long
led the Clippers to two South Shore
League titles and accumulated 1,421
points. Long, the only two-time
captain in the schools history, also
starred as an SSL All-Star tight end
and defensive end in football.
District D

Dartmouth
Jill Lyon, Barnstable
Lyon, the first person in seven years
to earn 12 varsity letters at Barnstable,
was a four-time cross-country
OCL All-Star. She finished her basketball
career with 1,145 points and 540
assists, and in the classroom she
graduated fourth in her class of 416.

Dartmouth
Nick Schwieger, Bishop Feehan
Schwieger, a National Football Foundation
Scholar-Athlete, accumulated
more than 3,700 rushing yards and
48 touchdowns in his career as Feehan
won the Division 2 Super Bowl.
Also a track standout, he finished
high school with a 4.0 GPA.
District E

New Hampshire
Laura Stern, Lunenburg
Stern, who set the New England
javelin record (146-0), won the event
at this springs All-State championships.
She also set a school record
in the shot put (32-11), and was the
district champion in the 100-meter
run.

Yale
Patrick Rutan, Algonquin
Rutan was a star in cross country and
track, specializing in the 2-mile run
and hurdles events. His indoor track
relay squad placed sixth in the district
meet. The music enthusiast was
ranked No. 1 in his class and earned
three 800s on the SATs.
District H

Boston College
Megan McCann, Marian
McCann, a Catholic Central all-star in
soccer and softball, and Tri-County
all-star in indoor track, was team
MVP in three sports and earned 12
varsity letters. The starting shortstop
in softball, she batted .576 while
maintaining a 4.0 GPA.

Dartmouth
Nathaniel Brakeley, St. John's Prep
Brakeley was an All-Scholastic in
football and the Catholic Conference
lineman of the year. In skiing, he
helped Prep win the state alpine title.
Brakeley finished in the top four
percent of his class and is a member
of the National Honor Society.
Boston

UMass-Amherst
Tyrone Figueroa, East Boston
Figueroa served as captain in football
and totaled 1,700 yards, 25 touchdowns,
and 154 total points while
leading Eastie to a spot in the Super
Bowl. He also led the basketball team
to league championships in his junior
and senior years.

Northeastern
McKenzie Powers, East Boston
Powers starred as a two-year captain
on the boys hockey team, where she
tallied 24 goals and 35 assists in four
seasons. She also was a midfielder in
soccer and a catcher for the softball
team and served as vice president of
the National Honor Society.
