Outside hitter, Sr.
Andrew Corwin, Lincoln-Sudbury
The Dual County League MVP in
2008 and three-time team MVP and
DCL all-star finished with 645 kills,
187 aces, 157 blocks, and 507 digs as
a four-year starter. Corwin had eight
kills and four blocks in the state
semifinal. He will attend Rivier.

Coach of the Year
Andrew Viselli, St. John's Prep
The two-time coach of the year could
not have asked for more from his
passionate, focused, and determined
squad that won a second
state title in three years. The Eagles
finished 21-4, improving Viselli to
274-69 with Prep.
All-Scholastics

Middle hitter, Sr.
Aaron Bartel, Brookline
The senior captain helped lead the
Warriors to the South sectional final,
where they fell to St. Johns Prep, 3-1.
Bartel was named co-MVP of his
team and as a junior he served a
career-high 11 aces. Bartel will attend
Tufts.

Setter, Sr.
Sean Bishop, St. John's Prep
Bishop registered 56 assists in the
state final (793 for the season) as the
Eagles came from behind to beat
Lincoln-Sudbury, 3-2, giving the
senior his second state crown in four
years. Bishop will attend Bowdoin
College.

Setter, Jr.
Jamison Chue, Newton South
Chue helped lead the Lions to the
South Sectional semifinal against
Brookline, where they fell to the
Warriors, 3-2. A two-time All-Scholastic,
Chue is a member of the Beantown
volleyball club, plays beach
volleyball and basketball.

Outside hitter, Sr.
Joshua Dulberg, Newton North
The two-time Bay State Conference
all-star led the Tigers to their third
consecutive South sectional final.
The team captain as a senior, Dulberg
also played varsity basketball for two
seasons. He will attend the University
of Michigan.

Outside hitter, Sr.
Phillip Ellison, St. John's Prep
With a state title on the line, Ellison
had nine kills as he helped lead St.
Johns to its second state title in three
years. The senior had 276 kills this
season and was named to the Merrimack
Valley All-Conference team.
Hell attend Northeastern.

Outside hitter, Jr.
Elon Jerome-Fyfield, Jr.
The 6-4 junior registered 248 kills, 75
blocks, 70 digs, and 19 service aces
this season for the Falcons. Fyfield
has 380 kills as a two-year starter and
plans on playing volleyball in the
Junior Olympics. Fyfield also plays
basketball.

Outside hitter, Sr.
Kyle Haverberg, Brookline
Haverberg helped lead Brookline to
the South sectional championship as
the Warriors swept defending champion
Newton North. The two-year
captain and four-year varsity player
was a three-time Bay State Conference
all-star.

Outside hitter, Sr.
Elio Jaho, Natick
The senior captain was named a Bay
State all-star as Natick captured
another conference title. He had 236
kills, 64 digs, 38 blocks, and 25 service
aces this season. Jaho graduates
having won a state title in 2007 and
made it to the state final in 06.

Setter, Sr.
Danny Letizi, Lincoln-Sudbury
The senior captain accumulated 600
assists for a career total of more than
1,000 as a three-year starter at setter.
Letizi had 21 assists and two aces
against Chicopee Comprehensive in
the state semifinal before falling to
St. Johns Prep. He will attend Vassar.

Middle hitter, Sr.
Jeffrey Matos, Lawrence
Matos was named team co-MVP and
Lawrence athlete of the year. The
senior tallied 280 kills and 185 blocks
as the Lancers reached the North
quarterfinals before bowing to Haverhill
in five games. Matos plays for
Beantown volleyball.

Middle hitter, Sr.
Nathan Miller, New Bedford
The 6-3 senior amassed 255 kills this
season (fifth best all-time at New
Bedford), bringing his career total to
443 (fourth best all-time). Miller, a
two-time All-Scholastic, also finished
with 147 blocks 64 this season
fourth best all-time.

Middle hitter, Sr.
Andrew Paine, Quincy
A two-time All-Scholastic, Paine
amassed 318 kills (1,144 career), 57
blocks (159), and 124 digs (358) as a
President. He was also named the
South Alliance League MVP and is a
four-time league all-star. Paine will
attend Rivier College.

Midlde hitter, Sr.
Lucas Rathjens, Lincoln-Sudbury
The senior captain helped lead the
Warriors to their first Central sectional
title and state final appearance,
combining great defense with powerful
hits. Rathjens is a recipient of the
Dual County League sportsmanship
award and will attend Vassar.

Outside hitter, Sr.
Jeremy Siden, Natick
The three-time Bay State All-Star
helped lead the young Redmen to
another conference title. Siden finished
with 223 kills this season after
ending his junior year with a win in
the state title game. The honor roll
student will attend Endicott College.

Setter, Sr.
Jeremy Velazquez, Chelmsford
The senior captain was named Merrimack
Valley Conference player of the
year and received Chelmsfords
Scholar-Athlete Award and the MIAA
Sportsmanship Award this season.
Velazquez, a two-time Globe All-
Scholastic, will attend MIT.
