Players of the Year

senior / midfielder
Quinn Cully, Duxbury
Cully dominated the competition all
season, including scoring six times in
the Green Dragons 13-12 win over
St. Johns Prep in the state title game.
He won a state title all four years he
played at Duxbury and will continue
his lacrosse career at Notre Dame.

division 2 / midfielder
Davis Butts, Walpole
Butts was one of the states top faceoff
men, having won 70 percent over his
career, and is a two-time All-Scholastic
and two-time All-American. His
183 goals, 105 assists, and 288 points
are all Walpole records. He will play
lacrosse at Loyola (Md.) University.

division 3 / attack
Kyle Crowley, Scituate
Crowley, one of two All-Americans in
Division 3, was at his best in the state
championship game when he scored
three goals, including the winner in
overtime. He had 84 goals and 49
assists this season and finished with
301 career points.
Coaches of the Year

Division 1
John Roy, St. John's Prep
In a season of milestones, the biggest
win may have been over Duxbury in
May that ended the Green Dragons
99-game in-state win streak. Prep
finished 19-3 and was Division 1
state finalist. Roy, a St. Johns Prep
grad, is 190-80 in his 15 years.

division 2
Jason Andalo, Walpole
Andalo led Walpole to its first state
title in the Rebels first trip to the
final. Andalo earned Bay State coach
of the year honors for the second
time after his team completed a 24-1
season. The Rochester, N.Y., native is
110-70 in nine seasons at Walpole.

division 3
Josh Field, Swampscott
Field, who played at Newton North
and Northeastern, has been coaching
four years, posting a 51-33 record. He
led the Big Blue to a Northeastern
Conference Small title, the first in
school history, and advanced to the
Division 3 East semifinals.
All-Scholastics

senior / midfielder
Kam Bumpus, Needham
Bumpus, a two-time All-American
selection, was the heart of Needhams
midfield and one of the top faceoff
men in the state. This summer, he
will be one of 96 seniors from around
the nation to play in the Senior Showcase
at Bryant College.

junior / attack
Garrett Campbell, St. John's Prep
Campbell racked up 124 points (74
goals) this season and was named an
All-American for his efforts. He was
an integral part of both the lacrosse
and hockey teams at St. Johns that
made deep runs in the state tournaments.
He has 174 career goals.

senior / midfielder
Robert Dion, Xaverian
Dion, an All-American this season
and a Catholic Conference All-Star
two straight years, led an injurydepleted
Hawks defense to the Division
1 East quarterfinals. Next year
he will attend Penn State and major
in Kinesiology.

senior / defense
Zach Driscoll, Concord-Carlisle
An All-American in 2009 and the
2008 Dual County League defensive
player of the year, Driscoll was at the
heart of C-Cs defense that allowed
eight or fewer goals in all but two
games this season. He will attend
Middlebury in the fall.

Kyle Ewanouski, BC High
The captain of the Eagles and All-
Catholic Conference selection finished
with 39 goals and 18 assists.
The high honors student will enroll
at Cornell in the fall, where he will
play for the national Division 1 runner-
up lacrosse team.

Danny Gold, Medfield
The three-time Tri-Valley League
All-Star and two-time Globe All-
Scholastic picked up 103 ground
balls for Medfield this season. He also
spent most of the season matched
against the oppositions top offensive
threat. He will attend Amherst.

John Jennings, St. John's Prep
Jennings set the single-season goals
record for Prep this season, hitting
the back of the net 88 times to go
along with 15 assists. Jennings, who
was named first-team All-Catholic
Conference for the second year, will
attend Colby College in the fall.

Matt Langill, Billerica
Langill, who will be taking the field at
Southern New Hampshire and majoring
in engineering next year, was a
captain of the Billerica lacrosse and
football teams this season. He was
also named to the Merrimack Valley
All-Conference lacrosse team.

senior / midfielder
Hakeem Lecky, Duxbury
Lecky, was one of the fastest players
in the state this season, on both the
lacrosse and football fields. He
helped Duxbury win its sixth consecutive
lacrosse title this season, and
will attend Syracuse next year, where
he will play lacrosse.

Greg Melaugh, Billerica
Melaugh, an All-American, is a twotime
Merrimack Valley Conference
player of the year. This spring he had
51 goals and 37 assists and finished
his career with 309 points. A captain
of the lacrosse and hockey teams,
Melaugh will attend Merrimack.

Lucas Paratore, St. John's Prep
The first-team All-Catholic Conference
defender collected 86 ground
balls, had 60 take-aways, and was the
anchor of a defense that ended Duxburys
in-state winning streak at 99
games. An accomplished artist,
Paratore will attend Siena College.

Jim Queeney, Reading
Queeney, who racked up 61 goals and
56 assists in his senior year, is a twotime
All-American selection. In
addition to his prowess on the lacrosse
field, he was a member of
Readings football team and is this
years valedictorian.

Matthew Sharp, Winchester
Sharp was as good as it gets in Massachusetts
between the pipes, earning
All-American and first-team
All-Middlesex League honors after
allowing just 4.3 goals per game.
Next season he will play Division 1
lacrosse at Siena College.

Jake Smith, Medfield
Smith, an All-American who collected
57 ground balls, was named
defensive player of the year in the
Tri-Valley League, and was first-team
TVL for the third consecutive season.
The National Honor Society member
will attend UMass Amherst.

Chris Whelan, Dover-Sherborn
Whelan graduates as the fourthleading
scorer in school history. The
two-time Tri-Valley League All-Star
stood out in the classroom as well,
taking four advanced placement
classes. He will enroll at Hamilton
College in the fall.
