Alia Aziz, Groton
![]() |
It's not very often an excellent player is held out of a match, but Aziz sometimes sat out because she was simply too good for her competition. This season she finished with an unblemished 7-0 record, which surely would have included more wins had she faced weaker opponents. She was ranked fourth in New England, and finished fourth in the U-17 Nationals. She was also runner-up at the Under-17 US Open back in December. Rest is for the weary in the eyes of Brenman, who is making her second appearance on the All-Scholastic team.
