Relays

200 freestyle

St. John's Prep

Keeping up with tradition, this experienced group of St. John’s Prep swimmers continued to excel in the 200 freestyle relays after receiving All-Scholastic recognition last year. From left to right, All-Scholastic senior Mark Scalise, junior Tyler Lareau, and seniors Jeff Fiore and Jonathan Castaldo broke the team record in the 200 freestyle (1:27.64) and 400 freestyle relays (3:11.62). Their 400 freestyle time was good enough to win in the North sectionals over Andover. This is the third consecutive first place finish for the Eagles in the North sectionals and at the Division 1 championships.
400 freestyle

Andover

In their best season so far , this relay group is only graduating one senior, which means they will continue to create waves in the water. From left to right, junior Michael Bakies, sophomore Paul Hunter, senior Peter Saunders, and Division 1 Swimmer of the Year junior Nick D’Innocenzo make up this talented pack that swam their way to 3:12.03 in the North sectionals, which garnered them automatic All-America status. D’Innocenzo was a US Senior National qualifier in the 400 IM. Bakies, Saunders and Hunter participate in YMCA teams in the summer — Bakies at the Burbank YMCA and Saunders and Hunter at the Andover-North Andover YMCA.
