Jason Bourgea, St. Paul's

The Dartmouth-bound co-captain made the All ISL and All New England teams after racking up 26 goals and 39 assists across 28 games this season. He finished with 108 career points at St. Paul’s. The honors student also plays baseball in the spring.
junior / hockey

Jeffrey Ryan, St. George's

As league MVP, Ryan led the ISL — and St. George’s and Division 2 hockey — with 25 goals and 30 assists for 50 points. It was his second season as captain and team MVP, roles he used to lead the team to an 11-1 ISL record and league title.

Corey Stearns, Nobles

In 24 games, Stearns posted 20 goals and 21 assists for 41 points, leading her team to ISL and New England championship titles. She is a member of the 2008 Under-18 National Team, which took gold at the world championships in Calgary, Alberta.
senior / basketball

Katherine Goodwin, Governor's Academy

Goodwin was one of the region’s top basketball stars this winter, earning ISL MVP honor while playing the point for Governor’s. She scored more than 1,000 career points and will continue her career at Columbia. She also is a talented soccer player.

Erik Murphy, St. Mark's

The forward averaged 20.3 points and 10.6 rebounds per game and was voted MVP of the NEPSAC Class C championship game. He plays for the New England Playaz AAU team and has committed to University of Florida.

Steve Mejia, Lawrence Academy

The 5-foot-9-inch point guard averaged 19.7 points and 4.3 assists per game, leading the Spartans to the NEPSAC Class C finals. The two-time league MVP also plays for Metro Boston and will play at University of Rhode Island in the fall.

Antonio Diaz-Gonzalez Salas, St. George's

The league MVP extended his 17-0 regular season unbeaten streak into tournament play, wrapping up at 25-0 overall. He led St. George’s to first place in the ISL and New England Interscholastic championships and will play at Connecticut College.

Rhetta Nadas, Nobles

After going undefeated in all of her games and matches this season, Nadas is currently ranked the No. 5 squash player in the US. She is a two-time All-Scholastic and five-time All-ISL player, and will attend Yale in the fall.
senior / wrestling

Juan Jurado, Belmont Hill

Jurado is the ISL champion and second in New England this year at 145 pounds. The 5-foot-5-inch senior boasts a 105-15 career record, including going 35-3 this season with 30 pins. He will wrestle at Stanford University in the fall.

Alex Englert, Belmont Hill

The four-time All-Scholastic is also a four-time League MVP and five-time All League skier. As captain, he led his team to the ISL crown this season. He also heads the lacrosse and football teams, and will play both sports at Middlebury College.

Meghan Weiler, Nobles

A three-time All-Scholastic, Weiler finished her career as a 3-year captain on a 6-year undefeated team (198-0). She is a five-year All-New England and five-year All-ISL team member. When the weather’s warmer, she enjoys lacrosse and sailing.

EIL

senior / hockey

Stacey MacKinnon, Berwick

She led Berwick in points for the past two years, posting 22 goals and 10 assists for 25 points this sesason. After making the EIL All-League team in 2007, she was named league MVP this year. She also plays softball and is a member of the Honor Roll.

Lenworth Williamson, Pingree

While averaging more than 22 points and 10 rebounds per game, Williamson netted his 1,000th career point in January. He earned league MVP honors this season and was a Rivers Tournament All-Star. He also will captain the soccer team in the fall.

Emily Wanger, Winsor

The co-captain led the EIL with 21.7 points per game to become Winsor’s first 1,000-point scorer. She also added 11.2 rebounds and 8.6 blocks per game and was named league MVP. Off the court, she holds a 3.91 GPA and enjoys reading and history.

McKenna Kelly, Dana Hall

Kelly earned league MVP honors by breaking two individual records: the 200-yard freestyle at 2:04.30, and 100-yard butterfly at 1:04.31. She also helped break records in the 200-yard medley and 400-yard freestyle relays while posting a 4.0 GPA.

Gabrielle Trotter, Bancroft

Trotter, the league co-MVP, helped Bancroft to back-to-back undefeated seasons, averaging 6.1 kills this year. Both years the team won EIL and NEPSAC champion honors. She is a member of the High Honor Roll and plays tenor saxophone and clarinet.

Jane Eberts, Dana Hall

As captain, Eberts led Dana Hall to an 8-2 EIL record, as well as second in the EIL tournament and third in Eastern Mass. She has earned All- League honors three years in a row and was named MVP this season. She also captains the lacrosse team.

Scott Bloom, Concord

The 5-foot-2-inch senior went 16-0 in the regular season, wrestling mostly in the 160-pound weight class, but dropped to 152 pounds to place fourth at the New England finals. He earned league MVP honors, and also plays soccer and baseball.

Fannie Watkinson, Concord

The 5-foot-8-inch No. 1 player went undefeated in the EIL and lost only one match in the postseason, placing third in Flight B of the EIL tournament. She also is an EIL soccer allstar and enjoys art, singing and ultimate frisbee.

NEPSAC

senior / hockey

Erin Barley-Maloney, Taft

In 21 games, she racked up 20 goals and 20 assists en route to becoming a Founders League All-Star and NEPSAC girls’ hockey player of the year. In her three years at Taft, she posted 58 goals and 46 assists for 104 total points. She will attend Cornell.

Celia Colman-McGaw, Kingswood-Oxford

The senior captain totaled 37 goals and 14 assists to lead the team with 51 points. She was the Kingswood- Oxford MVP for 2007. She also plays field hockey and lacrosse, and has played club ice hockey with the Polar Bears for the past six years.

Kyle Palmer, Trinity-Pawling

The senior went 23-0 in dual meets this season and is a two-time All- American, two-time New England champion and four-time Western New England champion. He won both events this year at 145 and 140 pounds, respectively.

Niall Janney, Phillips Exeter

The senior won the butterfly in 49.63 at the New England championships, breaking the meet record. He also broke the school’s IM record at the event in 1:52.65, and earned All- American honors in the butterfly, IM and 200-yard medley.

Michele Norton, Woodward

As a senior captain, Norton averaged 20 points per game, earning her IGC All-Star and league MVP honors. In addition to playing soccer and captaining the softball team, she is part of the honor roll and plans to attend Mass. College of Pharmacy.

Nicole Kett, Hopkins

Kett was the New England champion in the 100 breaststroke her junior year (1:08.40), and the 200 IM (2:10.02) and 100 breaststroke (1:07.86) this season. She was voted MVP at New Englands and will swim for Kenyon College in the fall.
