Although it was drizzling yesterday and temperatures were cool, Concord-Carlisle boys' lacrosse coach Tom Dalicandro thought his team being able to play on Weston's artificial turf field made up for the tough weather.

Concord-Carlisle took a 3-0 lead in the first quarter and cruised to a 9-4 Dual County League victory over Weston.

In that first quarter, junior attack J.B. Henderson (three goals, one assist) started Concord-Carlisle off with a man-up goal. Oliver Cragan followed with a score, and Jon Nessa finished the quarter with a tally on a feed from Ben Donelan.

"We had a lot of opportunities to score, and we had good possession of the ball," said Dalicandro.

Concord-Carlisle kept the momentum going into the second quarter, in which Henderson notched two more goals. Chris Gouchoe picked up a ground ball and scored another goal with 5:30 left to produce the final margin.

"I thought we played very well defensively," added Dalicandro, who cited junior Zack Driscoll, and Julian Attias on faceoffs.
