With five straight Division 1 state titles, Tom Turco's favorite month will always be November. The Barnstable girls' volleyball coach hopes to continue his winning ways today when the Red Raiders (19-1) face New Bedford in the Division 1 South Sectional title game at Wareham.
The game is one of 10 sectional title matches in Eastern Mass. today.
Barnstable made quick work of Falmouth in the semifinals Thursday, beating the Clippers, 3-0, in less than an hour. Stephanie Bristol was again the star, finishing with 16 kills. New Bedford (18-2) is coming off an emotional 3-2 win over Brockton Thursday in which the Whalers lost the first two games.
In Division 1 North, Lawrence (18-3), led by Merrimack Valley Conference MVP Jadith Lorenzo, faces top seed Reading (19-3). Dual County League teams square off in the Division 1 Central/East final, with Newton South (13-8) facing Boston Latin (15-4). In Division 1 Central/West, Milford (19-1) will go against DCL champ Lincoln-Sudbury (21-1).
In Division 2, the Central final pits Medfield (20-2), the only school to beat Barnstable this fall, against Canton (19-2). In the North, Melrose (22-2) faces Central Catholic (20-0) in a rematch of last year's final. In the South final, Bishop Feehan (20-1) faces defending sectional champion Bourne (20-0).
In Division 3, No. 10 seed Millis (14-8) faces top-seeded Blackstone Valley (17-5) in the Central final. In the South, Sacred Heart (19-2) plays Ursuline (19-1), while in the North, defending state champion North Reading (21-1) plays Notre Dame of Tyngsboro (17-8).

Division 1 North: Sean Callahan, Tristan Hackett, and Kelley Johnson notched second-half goals to lift St. John's Prep over Salem, 3-1 . . . Ricardo Montiel racked up 10 saves and Felix DeBona scored twice in Everett's 2-1 defeat of Lowell . . . Joven Sempa scored twice in Woburn's 5-1 win over Somerville.
Division 2 North: North Andover beat Saugus, 2-0, on goals from juniors Jackie Sullivan and Deedee Fagan . . . Ethan Machuret's four-save shutout helped Newburyport oust Marblehead, 4-0.
Division 1 South: An early goal by Robbie Stack was enough to carry Xaverian to a 1-0 victory over Durfee . . . North Quincy's Ryan Louis made 22 saves and Shane Regan tallied his 21st goal of the season in a 2-1 win over Marshfield . . . Rei Mitsuyama, Jamie MacDonald, and Ryan Callihan each scored two goals in Natick's 8-1 defeat of Boston English.
Division 2 South: Two goals from Andrew Revanales carried Sharon to a 4-1 victory over Medway.
Division 3 South: After a scoreless tie, Dan Moscaritolo scored on a penalty kick and Devin Delsino clinched the victory with a save as Bourne bounced Cape Cod Academy . . . Patrick Collins and Nathaniel Bates scored in Norwell's 2-0 win over Archbishop Williams.

Division 2 North: Mary Keroach's overtime goal propelled Marblehead to a 2-1 defeat of Arlington Catholic.
Division 1 South: Senior captain Kayla McGonagle scored in Fontbonne's 3-0 victory over Stoughton . . . After two overtimes couldn't break a 1-1 tie, Franklin prevailed over Dennis-Yarmouth after 20 rounds of penalty kicks, winning the shootout, 17-16.
Division 2 South: Elizabeth Leahy scored in double overtime to lead Hingham to a 2-1 win over Dedham.
Division 3 South: Kaci Kucinski's hat trick carried Cohasset to an 8-0 win over Bishop Connolly.
