Meg Rico (above), King Philip: The senior ace put on a show in the circle in her final high school game, striking out 17 in 12 innings, but the Warriors fell to Bridgewater-Raynham in the Division 1 South final, 1-0.

Shannon Smith (above), Milford: The junior righty struck out 16 — that put her at 337 for the season — to beat Agawam, 13-0, and send the Scarlet Hawks to the Division 1 state title game.

Jackie Orangio, Assabet Valley: The senior centerfielder had four hits, two steals, an RBI, and a run scored in her team's extra-innings loss to Turners Falls in the Division 3 state semifinals, 6-5.

Anthony Perry, St. John's Shrewsbury: The senior lefty pitched nine innings and struck out 10, but the Pioneers fell to Algonquin, 2-1, in the Division 1 Central final.

Luke Serra , Algonquin: Pitching six scoreless innings in the Division 1 Central final, the junior righty helped his team beat St. John's, 2-1.
