Game of the Week
Newton North vs. Braintree girls, Tuesday, 3:45
The Tigers were handed a 54-35 loss by Braintree the last time these two teams met on Dec. 14. North responded with an eight-game winning streak and turned up its defense, allowing just 29.9 points per game. Linda Martindale’s club has been led in part by junior duo Maddie Bledsoe and Infinity Thomas-Waheed, and will need contributions from all its roster when it takes on the Wamps, who started the season 11-0.
