During a winter when the No. 1 sport seemed to be complaining about the weather, two teams that spent the season on the ice stood out.

Malden Catholic won its fourth straight Super 8 title and for that accomplishment the Lancers again finish No. 1 in the final Boston Globe Top 20 for boys’ hockey. The final hockey and basketball rankings were published Sunday.

Led by Ara Nazarian and Tyler Sifferlen, MC went undefeated in Super 8 play and beat Austin Prep in the final at TD Garden for the second straight year. Reading won Division 1, Beverly Division 2, and Central Mass. power Shrewsbury beat Hanover in the Division 3 final.
