It just seemed like everything was falling into place for Kaitlyn Aucoin. According to Northeast girls' basketball coach Joe Papagni, the senior captain doesn't take a ton of shots, but yesterday everything clicked.

Aucoin netted a triple-double, with 16 points, 10 assists, and 10 rebounds as the Golden Knights pushed past Commonwealth Conference rival North Shore, 47-23.

"Everything she threw up went in," said Papagni. "She's more of a playmaker than anything else."

But Papagni said despite Aucoin's stellar offensive performance, her defensive skills didn't slip a bit.

Northeast (2-0, 2-2 in the conference) persevered despite a bug that has benched several players the last couple of games. Senior cocaptain Kristina Diaz, the Knights' leading scorer, had 10 points and eight rebounds, and senior cocaptain Crystal Costello added 8 points and eight assists.

Freshman center Becky Heathman didn't start the game because she was under the weather, but came in early in the first quarter to contribute 10 points. With much of the team sick, "Kaitlyn just stepped up and put the ball in the hoop," said Papagni.

Catholic Central: Senior forward Madison Martines (13 points) scored nearly half her team's points in Marian's 31-26 triumph over North Cambridge Catholic.

Old Colony: Senior guard Sam Marotta had 11 points as Bridgewater-Raynham breezed past Barnstable, 44-29. Seniors Kelly O'Neill and Laura Callinan each chipped in 8 points to power the Trojans (8-0).

Boys' basketball
Boston City North: Fenway trounced Latin Academy, 75-62, despite a 26-point performance by Latin's Aaron Brag. Fenway was lifted by senior guard Robert Lewis, who scored 23 points, and junior forward Ernest Williams, who had 18.

Bay State: Senior forward Chris Cameron notched 10 points and 10 rebounds as Walpole rolled over Natick, 63-35. Derek Hand added 8 points and 12 rebounds for Walpole.

Boys' swimming
Patriot: Bernardo Neves and Hunter Chasson each won two events, leading Duxbury to a 90-72 win over Norwell. Neves took the 50- and 100-yard freestyles and Chasson won the 100-yard backstroke and the 200-yard individual medley.

Dual County: Senior tricaptain Jake Lichter led Weston to a 101-83 victory over Acton-Boxboro with first-place finishes in the 200-yard individual medley and the 100-yard butterfly.

Nonleague: A win against Xaverian was very satisfying for Framingham because the Flyers had not defeated the Hawks since 1994. Senior Ben Lehnert's first-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle, Keith Savran's 100-yard butterfly victory, and Scott Savran's win in the backstroke pushed Framingham to a 99-85 win.

Girls' swimming
Patriot: Emily Hutchinson boosted Duxbury to an 89-68 win over Norwell with victories in the 50- and 500-yard freestyles.

Gymnastics
Cranberry: Keelin O'Connell won three events - vault, bars, and beam - to help Notre Dame of Hingham thump Silver Lake, 135.6-118.9.
