HIGH 5

Allie Beaulieu, Swampscott: Big Blue coach Jack Hughes called the victory in the Division 3 North final the biggest win for his team in 20 years, all because it came against Pentucket. Beaulieu played no small part in it, drilling three 3-pointers and scoring 20 points.

Nolan DiPanfilo, Bishop Fenwick: Staring at the possibility of falling to Wilmington in the Division 3 tournament for a second straight season, the Crusaders turned the tables winning, 71-60 in overtime, thanks largely to DiPanfilo's 21 points. He drilled three 3-pointers, but the conventional three-point play he converted to open OT gave Fenwick the breathing room it needed.

Dino Mallios, Winthrop: With the Division 3 North title on the line against the North Cambridge team, the junior guard scored 34 points (passing the 1,000-point mark), iucluding 7 in overtime, trying desperately to pull out a win, but falling short for a second straight season in the 65-62 loss.

Taryn O'Connell, Georgetown: It's easy to fly under the radar when your team is 5-15 in the regular season, but by the time Georgetown ripped through the Division 4 North bracket, O'Connell made sure people knew who she was. In the section title game, O'Connell scored 32 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, helping the Royals bury New Mission, 65-57.

Ryan Woumn, Lynn English: The Bulldogs' junior point guard turned the parquet floor at the Garden into a stage, scoring 39 points (7 in overtime) under the spotlight as English defeated previously unbeaten Brockton, 90-83 in the state semis.
