Girls' lacrosse

By Amanda Bruno, Globe Correspondent

The Globe ran its girls' lacrosse preview today, while Boston.com unveiled the first-ever girls' lacrosse Top 20.

Here's some analysis on the top squads:

1. Framingham - The defending state champs return eight starting seniors to the helm including Globe All-Scholastic Kristin Igoe for strong leadership.

2. Andover - Strong camaraderie and experience will push Andover higher this season.

3. King Philip - Katie Florence is back, folks.

4. Westwood - Alexandra Frank and Liz Kenny provide a big part of both the offense and defense.

5. Norwell - Despite losing Michelle Granara, this is always a strong group.
