Waltham wins

Waltham netminder Steve Hopkins stops four shots in the shootout, while Adam Dallaire and Kyle Thomas score for the Hawks as they prevail.

Hopkins stoned Westford's first two shooters, while Dallaire and Thomas each scored for Waltham. Dan Hopkins had a chance to end it, but lost control of the puck near the net. His twin brother took care of punctuating an amazing game by stopping yet another Westford attempt.

Westford outshot Waltham, 34-23, during regulation and overtime.

The Hawks advance to meet Catholic Memorial in Saturday's first round of group play at the DCU Center in Worcester.

We're going to put together a video of the shootout. We'll post that in a bit.
