City announces playoff matchups

Boston best basketball teams will square off this week in the annual city tournament.

The girls start things off Wednesday with two semifinal games at Madison Park. The host Cardinals face New Mission at 4 p.m. followed at 5:30 with O'Bryant playing Fenway.

On Thursday the boys take over. At 4 p.m. at Madison Park, Charlestown plays West Roxbury. At 5:30, New Mission plays East Boston.

The finals are Friday at Madison Park with the girls title game at 5 p.m. followed by the boys at 6:30. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students. Students under 12 are admitted free.
