High school hockey games to be played at Fenway Park

This winter, Fenway Park will host a number of high school hockey games for Sun Life Frozen Fenway 2012, a 16-day event that will include public ice time and six college games.

Frozen Fenway will start on Sunday, Jan. 1 and continue through Monday, Jan. 16.

Here is the full schedule, including eight school hockey games:

Jan. 1: Mayor's community skate day
This free, day-long public skating day will be open to residents of the City of Boston, courtesy of Mayor Menino and Sun Life Financial. Information on tickets will be available through the Mayor’s office in the coming weeks.

Jan. 2: Free public and private high school hockey tripleheader
3 pm. Boston Latin Academy vs. East Boston High School (boys)
5 pm. Boston Latin School vs. Boston Latin Academy (girls)
7:30 p.m. Mount Saint Charles Academy vs. Cathedral High School (Springfield) (boys)

The high school tripleheader will be a free, single ticket event. Tickets will be distributed in advance by the participating schools. A limited number of tickets will also be available at Fenway Park’s Gate E on game day for walk-ups.

Jan. 4: Independent School League (ISL) boys and girls high school hockey
1:30 p.m. St. George’s School vs. Rivers School (girls)
3:15 p.m. Noble and Greenough School vs. Milton Academy (boys)
5:30 p.m. Thayer Academy vs. Lawrence Academy (boys)
7:45 p.m. Belmont Hill School vs. Saint Sebastian's School (boys)

Tickets for these four games are available by phone at 877-REDSOX9 and online at redsox.com/frozenfenway, and are valid for all four games.

January 7: Hockey Day in New England
4 p.m. University of Vermont vs. University of Massachusetts
7:30 p.m. University of New Hampshire vs. University of Maine

This inter-state college hockey doubleheader will match four New England state schools, and will be preceded by the 1 p.m. Bruins game where they will face the Canucks for the first time since the Stanley Cup. While tickets to this doubleheader are sold out, New England Sports News (NESN) will carry all three games live.

Jan. 10: Women's college hockey
3 p.m. Dartmouth College vs. Providence

Tickets for this women’s college hockey game are available by phone at 877-REDSOX9 and online at redsox.com/frozenfenway.

Jan. 13: Division I and Division III hockey doubleheader
3:30 p.m. Norwich University vs. Babson College (ECAC East/DIII)
7 p.m. Union College vs. Harvard University (ECAC Hockey/DI)

Tickets for this men's college hockey doubleheader are available by phone at 877-REDSOX9 and online at redsox.com/frozenfenway.

Jan. 14: Boston rivalry doubleheader
3 p.m. Catholic Memorial vs. Boston College High School
6 p.m. Northeastern University vs. Boston College

Jan. 16: Mayor's community skate day
This free, day-long public skating day will close out the 16-day Sun Life Frozen Fenway schedule. As with the January 1 Community Skate Day, information on tickets will be available through the Mayor’s office in the coming weeks.

Tickets for the Jan. 4, 10 and 13 hockey games went on sale today at 12 noon. Tickets for the Jan. 14 hockey doubleheader are currently on sale now at redsox.com/frozenfenway.
