HIGH 5

Evan Boynton , Concord-Carlisle: The senior tailback ran for 173 yards and three touchdowns on a whopping 40 carries to help the Patriots beat Lexington, 19-16, last week.

Nick Diliberto , Shrewsbury: With three rushing touchdowns, the junior fullback helped lead his team past Marlborough, 34-14.

Mack Eberhardt , Groton-Dunstable Regional: With four touchdowns — two rushing and two passing — the junior quarterback carried his team to a 34-0 win over Murdock High in Winchendon.

Chris Giorgio , Lincoln-Sudbury Regional: The senior captain’s 52-yard interception return helped the Warriors shut out Malden Catholic, 21-0.

Andrew Smiley , St. John’s High: The junior did it all against Longmeadow, throwing for three touchdowns and running in two more. He finished with 342 yards of total offense — 246 passing and 96 rushing — in the Pioneers’ 35-14 win.

Newton North at Framingham, 7 p.m. Friday: The Lions (2-0) have started hot behind junior quarterback Jack Boucher, who threw for 150 yards and two touchdowns last week in a 23-10 win over Milton. They go up against Bay State Conference foe Framingham (1-1) and its versatile signal-caller Chris Bloomingdale, who threw four touchdowns and ran for two more in the Flyers’ two games.
