Patrick Sheehan has the Triton Regional football program off to the best start in his four-year tenure as head coach. But judging by his squad’s preparation in the offseason, he is not the least surprised.
Triton has been sound on both sides of the ball, sinking Swampscott and reigning Cape Ann League Division 3 champ Amesbury on the road, 33-7 and 40-7, respectively.
The players have also become active members of their community.
During the 12th annual WEEI/NESN Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon in late August, an anonymous booster phoned in a donation of $22,000 in the name of the Triton football program.
Motivated by the gesture, the Viking players made a two-hour educational visit to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute last week and have kicked off a Triton Points for Dana-Farber fundraiser.
