With every passing week, Latin Academy’s Kyle Dance becomes more firmly entrenched among the elite quarterbacks in Massachusetts.
In the Dragons’ 36-16 win over visiting Boston English on Friday afternoon at White Stadium, the senior tossed his ninth touchdown pass of the year and number 40 for his career, becoming the first player in Boston Public School history to reach the milestone.
“It’s incredible, but I have to thank all my teammates,” said Dance, who tied Reading and former Harvard quarterback Chris Pizzotti, Natick’s Paul Ghilani, and Holliston’s Sean Mayo on the state’s all-time passing list. “I don’t catch the ball and I don’t block for myself, though, while I’m doing everything. It’s a team thing,” he said.
