No. 6 Mansfield proves to be too much for No. 18 North Attleboro

MANSFIELD — Sixth-ranked Mansfield had too many weapons for No. 18 North Attleboro to stop.

The Hornets offense clicked on all cylinders as they took care of their Hockomock Kelley-Rex foes, 35-14, Friday night at Alumni Field.

Senior Miguel Villar-Perez carried 14 times for 121 yards and two touchdowns and senior Mike Hershman (four catches, 70 yards) had a pair of touchdown receptions for Mansfield (3-0, 1-0 Hockomock Kelley-Rex).

“We’ve got great skill kids and tonight we kind of had everything hitting,” Mansfield coach Mike Redding said. “We’re tough to match up with.”

The Hornets led, 21-7, with 7:32 left in the game when senior Kyle Wisnieski found Hershman all alone in the back of the end zone on third and 19 for a 23-yard score to push the lead to three touchdowns.
