Everett’s Isaiah Davis makes a name for himself right away

Isaiah Davis had been waiting for this moment since June, when he started working out with his new teammates in the weight room. The senior running back transferred to Everett from Lynn English after his junior year, but didn’t receive an MIAA waiver to play in games until last week.

Davis worked hard on and off the field as he waited for a decision. The dedication paid off. Davis ran for two touchdowns in fifth-ranked Everett’s 35-14 win over No. 3 St. John’s Prep (2-2) on Saturday at Cronin Stadium.

“It feels amazing,” said Davis. “This is an incredible experience. I’m stuttering over here because I’m so happy. Got the ‘W’ with my team. It’s amazing; we were running hard, playing hard. That’s Everett football.”
