COHASSET — The Abington Green Wave were unfazed by the undefeated record Cohasset boasted, dousing the red-hot Skippers, 28-12, at Alumni Field Friday night.
Cohasset looked like a well-oiled machine, but it was the guys in Green that were running on all cylinders. The Skippers (3-1) offense came into the game averaging a South Shore Small-leading 41.7 points per contest, but Abington’s defense shut them down.
Defensively, the Skippers also led the league, giving up just 11 points per game. But even still, Abington’s offense had their number. By the second quarter, Cohasset had already surrendered the most points it had let up in any game all season. Full story for BostonGlobe.com subscribers.
