Milton football upsets No. 11 Walpole

Milton took down Bay State Herget rival and No. 11 Walpole Friday night, 26-7, behind two touchdown runs from Jonathan Pierre and a pair of TD passes Liam Collins.

The Rebels (3-2, 2-1) scored their only touchdown in the first quarter to take a 7-0 lead. Milton answered when Pierre (19 rushes, 130 yards) ran for his first score of the night, a 58-yard touchdown, to tie the game.

Pierre found the end zone again in the second quarter when he ran it in from a yard out to put Milton up, 14-7.

Collins (3 of 7, 98 yards) found Anthony Smith for a 54-yard strike in the third quarter. Collins capped things in the fourth when he threw for another long score. This time, he found John Lawton for a 39-yard touchdown.
