East Boston's stat man: Tyrone Figueroa is a Jet for a reason. He was the third-leading scorer in Division 3A, rushing for more than 1,300 yards while collecting 20 touchdowns and 124 points. But don't look away when Eastie goes on defense. Figueroa has returned three interceptions for scores.

OUTLOOK

Sarkis and the Reggies should be proud of their improvement from five wins in '06. Much of that comes from Adames, a one-man defensive nightmare. East Boston has the quickness to contain Adames, and the first few series could be telling.

PREDICTION

Greater Lawrence's loss to 3-8 Lawrence followed by its 19-16 win over 5-6 Amesbury tells me all I need to know about this game.
East Boston 24, Greater Lawrence 7
