Justin Mello, Dartmouth - Mello ran for three touchdowns in a 35-20 win over Fairhaven, pairing him with Jordan Todman as the only Indian players to run for 20 touchdowns in a season.
Ian Desrosiers, New Bedford - Desrosiers made the most of his nine touches in a 37-6 victory over Durfee, accruing 128 yards and three touchdowns.
Division 1A
Mike Crafts, Chelmsford - Crafts surpassed the 1,000-yard passing mark for the season Thursday. In a win over Billerica, the senior completed 5 of 10 passes, including a 43-yard TD toss, and finished with 1,016 yards this season.
Joe Flynn, Plymouth North - Flynn completed 9 of 15 passes for 194 yards and three touchdowns against Plymouth South.
Division 2
Jean Baptiste, Needham - In one of the oldest rivalries in the nation, Baptiste rushed for 240 yards and two scores in the Rockets' win over Wellesley.
Vinny Cortina, Belmont - Cortina was efficient, completing 13 of 16 passes for 225 yards and two scores against rival Watertown.
Division 2A
Melikke Van Alstyne, Salem - Van Alstyne dominated against Beverly, rushing for 302 yards and four touchdowns in a 34-30 upset.
Rob Struble, Silver Lake - In his last game, the senior captain rushed for 193 yards and two touchdowns in a 28-7 win over Pembroke.
Division 3
Chris Cameron, Swampscott - Cameron's three touchdowns (two passing, one rushing) helped Swampscott take the NEC Small title in a 21-13 win over Marblehead.
Brian Desmond, Norton - Norton rolled over Bellingham, 54-0, to clinch the Tri-Valley League. Desmond helped make sure the game was never in question, with a rushing touchdown and TD reception in the first quarter.
Division 3A
Mike McCarthy, Martha's Vineyard - The senior quarterback led the Vineyarders to their sixth straight Island Cup victory over Nantucket, going 5 of 8 for 94 yards and three touchdowns.
Derick Willis, South Boston - Willis rushed for 198 yards and two touchdowns, and added a touchdown reception as the Knights beat East Boston.
Division 4
Omari Alfred, O'Bryant - The Tigers beat Latin Academy to stay undefeated heading into the playoffs, thanks in large part to Alfred's 165 yards and one rushing touchdown on 14 carries.
Pat Orlando, Manchester Essex - The senior quarterback threw for 278 yards and racked up three passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns to take down Georgetown.![]()
