Frissore lifts Wilmington

Chris Frissore kicked a 38-yard field goal with seven seconds left to boost host Wilmington past Newburyport, 24-22.

Wilmington’s Sean Hanley passed to Kevin Moriarty for one touchdown and Evan Butters rushed for two more to help the Wildcats (5-1) to a 21-16 lead at the half. Newburyport (3-3) was led by Kyle LeBlanc, who scored a touchdown and kicked a field goal in the first half.

After a scoreless third quarter, the Clippers struck again in the fourth on a 14-yard connection from Ryan O’Connor to Matt Mattola to give Newburyport a 1-point lead with time expiring. But Frissore (115 total yards), who was a perfect 3 for 3 in extra points, converted the Wildcats’ first field goal of the season.

Billerica 35, Lawrence 20 - Nick LaSpada threw three touchdown passes - two to Jimmy Holland - and Chris Clark caught one TD pass and rushed for another as the No. 9 Indians rolled.

Reading 42, Malden Catholic 14 - Senior running back Tino Perrina ran for five touchdowns and the No. 3 Rockets improved to 6-0.

BC High 56, Cambridge 28 - Preston Cooper (four TDs) and Ra’ees Wingard (one) combined to rush for 327 yards in the 18th-ranked Eagles’ win.

Northeastern (Large)

Revere 27, Peabody 25 - The Tanners failed to connect on a 2-point conversion in the fourth quarter, losing to host Patriots. Mark D’Addario ran for three touchdowns for Peabody. .

Acton-Boxborough 42, Arlington 20 - Rob Gogan scored three touchdowns for the visiting Colonials.

Bridgewater-Raynham 22, La Salle 16 - The No. 10 Trojans squandered a 16-0 halftime lead but recovered when Mike Connolly connected with Neil Harrington on a 7-yard TD pass in overtime to beat La Salle, which had won 17 straight games.

Natick 49, Wellesley 14 - Brett Flutie finished with 135 receiving yards, catching TD passes of 70 and 35 yards, and the No. 5 Red and Blue blasted the Raiders.

Canton 20, Sharon 14 - Jordan Guyton was the hero for the Bulldogs, scoring the tying touchdown in the fourth quarter and the winner in overtime from 10 yards out.

Mansfield 35, Oliver Ames 0 - Nik Busharis threw two touchdown passes as the No. 12 Hornets dominated on the road.

Foxboro 20, Stoughton 7 - Mike Delaney ran for all three touchdowns for the Warriors, two in the fourth quarter to break a tie game.

Melrose 14, Burlington 6 - The Red Raiders got their first win of the season thanks to rushing TDs from Jason Campbell and Will Gardiner.

Lexington 34, Stoneham 0 - Daishawn Beaumont rushed for two touchdowns for the Minutemen.

Fairhaven 20, King Philip 14 - Taylor Motta ran for a 1-yard touchdown with 25 seconds left, lifting the Blue Devils to the upset of the 13th-ranked Warriors.

Duxbury 21, North Quincy 6 - Bobby Murphy had nine carries for 100 yards and a touchdown for the host Green Dragons (4-2).

Quincy 27, Pembroke 26 - Lance Peterson ran for the winning TD and Reggie Cesar blocked an extra point and a field goal attempt with five seconds left to preserve the Presidents’ first win of the season.

O’Bryant 14, Boston English 0 - Chandler Ransom (two touchdowns) ran for more than 100 yards to carry the Tigers.

Latin Academy 30, Charlestown 0 - Edbiko Elysee caught two TD passes and Cuong Nguyen and Ohimai Aisiku each rushed for scores.

Madison Park 12, Brighton 8 - Raymond Hawkins ran for two touchdowns in the second half to lead the Cardinals.
