Belmont Hill was the only thing standing in the way of Lawrence Academy’s rematch with undefeated BB&N next week that will decide the ISL championship.
Lawrence, like it has done so many times this season, hurdled the obstacle, and set its sights on BB&N.
The Spartans (7-0) took care of business with a 27-0 victory yesterday at Belmont Hill, refusing to lose their focus on what so narrowly eluded them last year, the ISL championship.
Denzel Britto and Marcus Grant each ran for two touchdowns, including Grant’s 88-yarder to cap the scoring.
BB&N (7-0) also held serve, toppling Thayer, 42-15, on the road for its 17th straight win.
Eric Bertino threw touchdown passes to five receivers, and finished 12 of 16 for 240 yards. Bertino, the ISL’s leading passer, has thrown for a career-high 22 TDs this season.
