McLevedge, Weymouth keep rolling
GLOUCESTER - Weymouth had little trouble dispatching a weakened Fishermen squad last night at Gloucester High School. Quarterback Cam McLevedge led the way, completing 18 of 33 passes for 275 yards and two touchdowns - giving him 11 this season - and running for another score in the Wildcats’ 28-0 win.
“We played hard on a sloppy field against a team that came out, gave us a bunch of different looks, a lot of good coverage,’’ said coach Kevin Mackin after his team improved to 3-0.
Ozzy Colarusso had the Wildcats’ other score, a 90-yard kickoff return on the game’s first play.
The Fishermen, who struggled to move the ball out of their end all night, were shut out for the second time in three games. The Gloucester defense had a few big plays, stopping the Wildcats on four of five fourth-down tries.
Weymouth’s Khary Bailey-Smith had four receptions for 77 yards and one touchdown. Colarusso had six receptions for 110 yards and a TD.
