Going into yesterday, Lincoln-Sudbury and Barnstable had already secured spots in the Division 1A playoffs, with a first-round meeting looming Tuesday.

Lincoln-Sudbury (10-1, 4-0 Dual County League Large) capped its regular season with a convincing 35-13 win over Newton South. Brian Carroll caught two touchdown passes from Matt Cahill and rushed for a 21-yard score for the 10th-ranked Warriors.

Barnstable (7-4, 3-0 Old Colony) beat Falmouth, 28-15. Senior quarterback D.J. Crook, playing for the first time since fracturing the thumb on his throwing hand Oct. 7, passed for 194 yards and two touchdowns to Tedaro France.

CAL/NEC (Division 1)

Masconomet 13, North Andover 12 - Mike Tivinis ran for a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns to rally the Chieftains. Ben Panunzio threw a 30-yard pass to Nathan Silveira to set up Tivinis’s winning score.

Dual County (Large)

Acton-Boxboro 21, Westford 14 - Senior tailback Kyle Sweeney ran for three touchdowns to push the Colonials past the Grey Ghosts. With the score tied at 14, Sweeney scored on a 4-yard run. The Colonials finished the season 7-4.

Nonleague

Fairhaven 21, Dartmouth 14 - Billy Pires ran for 136 yards and two touchdowns for the Blue Devils. A pair of scoring runs by Tim Smith put the Indians ahead, 14-0, before Fairhaven rallied.

Peabody 19, Saugus 7 - Jason Hiou ran 11 times for 103 yards and three scores for the Tanners. Saugus got an 80-yard kickoff return for a score by Ryan Henehan.

Winthrop 33, Revere 0 - Mitchell Paulson rushed for 113 yards and three TDs for the Vikings.
